The new Canon EOS 300D Digital SLR. One damn fine looking camera. I have no plans of swapping from film to digital, but if I did, this would be the baby I'd choose.

Hi Mat,

That leica was a sexy camera, but at £700 I think it’s something purely for rich London new media types. I couldn’t justify that for a digital SLR, let alone a little point and shoot.

Andy, there aren’t any rich London new media types left!

But before you dismiss Leica out of hand purely on a cost basis (pah! it’s only money), it says here, “A person who reaches for a Leica is not just opting for a particular camera, but also for an exquisite new internal attitude that will affect this person’s way of taking pictures, it will even determine it.”

What I’d give for an exquisite new internal attitude.
