Do you modify these pictures at all?

The picture is very nice, but it looks as though the blurry background effect could be achieved with a circular feather and a good nice gaussian.

For info about my camera equipment have a look at this post about my photographs

Apart from levelling out the image I don’t apply any effects so the blurring is purely down to the aperture size and focal length of my lens.

Sorry for not checking up on your equipment. I didn’t think you had modified the image, I asked because I could’ve added such a blur myself, but definately couldn’ve captured it with my Canon Digital IXUS v2.
