When I did the EuroMillions the other week I bought 4 tickets, and I didn’t even get a single number. Talk about your bad luck. I forever seem to have bad luck. Then one night it came to me in a dream.

I’d like a copy because the kid my boss hired to help me develop sites for our company is as green as Kermit the friggin frog. Dude tries to code using CSS (which is great) but has the hardest time trying to figure out when to use a div or a span. Anything that doesn’t work immediately in IE gets an immediate !important hack that doesn’t work 99% the time.

I downloaded the sample chapter last week and was amazed by it. Not only by the sheer genius of the writing, but I also happened to be struggling with a layout issue for a client’s site at that very time. The chapter solved my problem for me. If that one chapter made me a better designer, I can hardly imagine what having the entire book would do.

However, as fast as this technology is growing it is very easy to get behind the times and lose your edge, as well as your creative outlook (as far as using CSS is concerned). I’m frightened by how many CSS based sites look all too similar and I believe this book just might help me (and others) to break that trend and look at CSS in a more creative manner. I could certainly use that edge.

‘design’ web pages with no care for standards.
If they survived the blow, and came round, they would certainly be
